Jackie Gillies has champagne tastes with a Porsche to match

JACKIE Gillies is one of six glamorous, high-flying women starring in Foxtel's new show The Real Housewives of Melbourne.

The 33-year-old is married to Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies and the couple recently relocated to Melbourne from Newcastle.

As the youngest of the Housewives, she's been at the centre of plenty of drama on the show.

We caught up with the glamour to discuss her motoring past and present.

What was your first car?

It was a red Ford Capri. I think it was a 1996 or '97, it was a convertible, my parents bought it for me, I thought I was some rock star, the roof would come off and I'd be driving, pumping my music. I think my dad ended up selling it 10 or 15 years later for $1000 maybe.

What are you driving now, and what do you love and hate about it?

Porsche 4WD Cayenne. It's a champagne silver with champagne interior. I love it all.

What is your greatest frustration on the road?

I hate people cutting me off and not letting me in. I think that is the rudest thing you can do because if you don't let somebody in karma will come back at you and somebody's not going to let you in.

Do you have any preferred driving music?

I love R&B and gangster rap. Maybe bust some Montell Jordan This is How We Do It.

If you were to pick anyone in the world to go on a road trip, who would it be?

Oh my God, Michael Jackson. He's the most creative, amazing human being. He's experienced a lot from a young age. My husband, they started the band at 14 travelling the world.

What is your dream car?

I don't know if it's my dream car because I will get it, but I love Bentleys. Of course I like luxury cars, but for me I don't really think much about cars.
