Charley Hull in front at RACV Australian Ladies Masters

ENGLISH teenager Charley Hull battled a back injury and the threat of a slow play penalty to eventually share the lead on six under halfway through the second round of the RACV Australian Ladies Masters at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast.

One of the pre-tournament favourites following a stunning rookie year in which she topped the European Tour money list, Hull shot her second successive three-under round of 70.

Her round however was tinged with drama after officials put her group on a slow play warning after the trio fell 18 minutes behind the group ahead but made up the time before she birdied her last hole.

She was joined in the lead by yet another teenager Eun Woo Choi (69-71) and was disqualified in 2012.

Sunshine Coast professional Katherine Kirk was making a bid for the lead moving to five-under early in her second round.
