LATEST: Repeated calls for footage of a horrific Warrego Hwy crash which left a man clinging to life have gone unanswered.
Police are still piecing together how a car and a semi-trailer truck collided in the east-bound lanes of the busy highway at College View about 2.30pm on Monday.
A NSW man, 64, remains in a critical but stable condition in a Brisbane hospital after he was airlifted from the scene of the crash late that afternoon.
Initial inquiries suggest a red Holden Commodore wagon was travelling east on the Warrego Hwy when it collided with a truck which was also headed east.
The 46-year-old male truck driver had to be restrained at the scene of the crash and was treated for shock after the harrowing incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing its investigations into the incident and appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
Police also appealed for any dash-cam footage of the incident to be handed over as part of the investigation.

TUESDAY, 10AM: Police are investigating a serious traffic crash between a car and truck that occurred at College View yesterday afternoon.
Initial investigations indicate around 2.30pm, a red Holden Commodore wagon was travelling east on the Warrego Highway when it collided with a truck which was also headed east. The crash happened near the intersection of Villis Road.
The driver of the car, a New South Wales man in his sixties, was transported to hospital suffering serious injuries.
The 46-year-old truck driver was uninjured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.

The crash is on the east-bound lanes, and motorists are urged to take caution.
