MELBOURNE City player-coach Jessica Fishlock says she is happy the team is still in the right place after continuing its unbeaten run in the W-League with a comfortable 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park.
Fishlock scored twice, with Steph Catley adding a third, in the success, which takes last season's champion to the top of the ladder on nine points, ahead of Brisbane Roar on seven.
City went through the whole of the last campaign without losing a game and is on target to do the same this season after three wins from three.
Fishlock is not sure if that unbeaten record can continue but said she was pleased with the performance against the city rival.
"Can we go unbeaten again, I don't know,” she said.
"It really isn't what we are thinking about. We are just taking one game a time.
"Teams just keep asking us questions and hopefully we can keep coming up with the answers.”
Melbourne City faces up to second-placed Brisbane in the game of the round next week.
