ALL ROADS lead to Ipswich for 14,000 country and roots music fans next weekend.
The three-day CMC Rocks Queensland festival from March 11-13 is the biggest international country and roots festival in the Southern Hemisphere.
An explosive array of international and national country music superstars will be on show at Willowbank.
The festival has sold out, as has all on-site accommodation, while the festival's Ipswich accommodation partners say there are almost no vacancies left over the weekend.
As a key partner of CMC Rocks QLD, Ipswich City Council has been working to increase the length of stay and dispersal of CMC Rocks Queensland visitors for the greater economic benefit of the city.
This year targeted online advertising has been used to promote accommodation, activities, and experiences for potential visitors to book pre-event, at-event, and post-event.
Visitor Information Centre staff will also be stationed at CMC Rocks Queensland over the three days engaging with attendees to provide general information,and where possible book Ipswich tourism products and services.
To attract locals and activate Ipswich central, the Country Comes to the City event on Saturday, March 5 has been introduced.
Country Comes to the City will develop as a lead-in event for CMC Rocks Queensland and help drive additional visitation.
To capitalise on the growing success of the festival, residents are urged to give a special welcome the thousands of country music fans visiting Ipswich next week.
Businesses are also encouraged to make the most of the country music phenomenon as it reaches Ipswich.
From the most basic products and services to once in a lifetime experiences, visitors will be looking for all that Ipswich has to offer.
It is hoped they will take home memories of a proud city full of great people and places.
