RUGBY LEAGUE: Calliope Roosters are on the hunt for two new coaches ahead of the 2018 season.
The club is seeking an Under-20s and Reserve Grade coach after a reshuffle in coaching positions.
2017 reserves coach Amoy Mallie will take charge of the women's team, replacing Luke Dyer who has moved to Sydney with wife, Sarah.
The U20s role will be a new one at the club with Roosters' president Cameron Masters looking to blood and develop the successful U18s team of last season into the higher grades.
"We had a really good U18s squad last year that are coming through,” he said.
"We've got some really talented players so we really want to try and keep them together and get a decent coach for them.
"We want to keep developing them so they can come through to the seniors.”
Calliope's U18s made it through to the grand final last season but fell to Valleys 26-22 in a nail-biting contest.
"It will be a good step to building the club if we can get a decent coach,” Masters said.
"If they've had experience in coaching or a rugby league background would definitely be a benefit.”
Calliope's pre-season across all senior grades will commence next Tuesday at the club's Bunting Park headquarters.
