Coast man airlifted to hospital after quad bike crash

A SUNSHINE Coast man has been rushed to hospital after being seriously injured in a quadbike craash.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the man, aged in his 30s, to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the accident at an adventure park in the South Burnett region.

He had been riding at around 1pm when he was thrown from the quad bike, landing about 15 metres away and suffering a shoulder injury. 

The Sunshine Coast helicopter crew attended back-to-back accidents after being called to airlift a man in his 60s after a serious crash on the Bruce Hwy, north of Gympie.

The Hervey Bay man suffered suspected chest and abdominal injuries and was also airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital where he was last night in a serious but stable condition.
