Collision with car leaves cyclist with serious head injuries

A CYCLIST has sustained serious head injuries following a crash at Runaway Bay this morning.

Preliminary investigations suggest around 7.50am, a car and a bicycle collided on Bayview Street.

A male cyclist was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
