Company looks to offload property
CARABELLA Resources has put the Clermont Hotel Motel on the market after using it to beat the Bowen Basin accommodation squeeze for its workers.
The company, which has its Grosvenor West tenement in development, bought the hotel motel and three adjoining properties last year, but has since secured approval to put an accommodation camp on site for employees and contract staff.
"The decision was taken during this (December) quarter to divest Central Queensland Accommodation Holdings, which includes the Clermont Hotel Motel business and three adjoining properties," the company said.
"Carabella has secured camp accommodation on its Grosvenor West project site."
The company bought the properties last March with former managing director Mitch Jakeman favouring the accommodation strategy and Clermont's strategic location.
