Major bust: Police find $78,000 cash and drugs in car
A TOOWOOMBA man police claimed was found with $78,000 cash and 370g of "green leafy material" believed to be marijuana in his car in Wilsonton has faced the city's Magistrates Court.
Timothy Donald Robertson, 27, spent the night in custody after being arrested by police in McGregor St late Wednesday afternoon.
Police claim a search of Robertson's car found the Australian currency in a bag along with bags of what they suspected to be marijuana as well as drug-related utensils.
Robertson appeared on six charges including trafficking, supplying and possessing dangerous drugs.
He was not required to enter any pleas to the charges and his solicitor David Burns sought bail on his behalf.

Police objected to bail on the grounds of the seriousness of the charges and that Robertson had no fixed address.
However, Mr Burns said his client would reside with his brother at Cambooya during the period of remand and abide by all bail conditions.
Magistrate Graham Lee refused bail and remanded Robertson in custody and adjourned the case for committal mention back in the same court on January8, next year.
