THE Isaac Regional Council is still unable to provide a date for when the Clermont Pool will re-open, but CEO Rod Ferguson has said all attempts will be made to the get the centre open while work is undertaken.

Mr Ferguson said a special meeting held by the council earlier this week gave some insight into the issues surrounding the pool

"Council is now further developing the scoping and costing of the works required," he said.

"In the meantime Council is urgently investigating a temporary water treatment plant for immediate installation at the Clermont Swimming Pool.

"Council understands the frustration these pool closures generate and appreciates the inconvenience and disruption the closure is having on all community members of Clermont."

Mr Ferguson said "all endeavours will be made to allow the facility to remain open while the upgrade and maintenance works are carried out".

"Council is working as quickly as possible to resolve the issues and will keep the community regularly updated," he said.
