Crims smash Emerald chemist in targeted hit

POLICE are investigating the theft of more than $1000 in restricted pharmacy medication from an Emerald chemist last week.

The offenders smashed a lower glass panel on the front entry door to gain access to the chemist in the Centro Emerald Market, some time between late evening on Thursday, January 24, and early the following morning.

The thieves stole only drugs from the premises in what appears to be a targeted hit, leaving money and safes untouched.

The damage costs to the shopfront were not known.

Emerald police are appealing for any members of the public who have information in relation to the incident to come forward. Call the Emerald station on 4983 8100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
