Townsville might be sitting in last place on the NBL ladder, but coach Shawn Dennis believes his team has the fighting qualities to challenge anyone in the competition.

And the Crocs will need those qualities against the 36ers in Adelaide tonight.

The 36ers (4-5) are a win ahead of Townsville in fifth.

The hosts might have lost 106-84 away to Sydney on Thursday night, but came back to beat the Kings 99-98 last Saturday, after trailing by 18 at three-quarter time.

The 36ers feature danger guards Jerome Randle and Adam Gibson.

But the Crocs also showed plenty of fight in the last quarter of their last game, after trailing Perth 61-49, to lose 85-77.

"It (not giving up) is what we are becoming known to do," Dennis said. "It wasn't until we threw caution to the win wind in the last quarter we started to get some points.

"That's what we are trying to instil in ourselves."
