Crushing loss for Mackay-based firm

MACKAY-based business Crushing Industries Australia has gone into administration.

The quarrying and resources company, which has an office on Victoria St, will meet with administrators next week at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre.

CIA declined the Daily Mercury's request to comment on the story yesterday.

The business has quarries spread from Bauhinia and Springsure in the south, Alpha in the west, and north through Moranbah and Nebo.

According to the notice published on the Australia Securities Investment Commission website, administrators Barry Anthony Taylor and Andrew Fletcher Needham were appointed to the case on January 16.

Their first meeting with the company creditors will be on Thursday at the MECC.
