UPDATE: A man in his sixties has been taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a critical condition with serious head injuries following a serious crash on the Cunningham Hwy.
His mother in her eighties suffered a cardiac arrest on scene and was successfully revived by QAS before being transported to Warwick Hospital.
The woman has since been taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition with severe head and chest injuries.
4PM: Motorists can expect lengthy delays on the Cunningham Hwy, west of Warwick, after a serious three vehicle crash.
Two people have been critically injured after their sedan collided with two B-dobules near the Sandy Creek Rd turn-off.
Fire crews are cleaning up a large diesel spill at the site.
Traffic is being diverted via Toolburra Plains Rd, Sandy Creek Rd and Washpool Rd
3.30PM: Two people are in critical condition following a serious crash between a sedan and two B-doubles on the Cunningham Hwy west of Warwick.
The two patients were travelling in the sedan at the time of the crash.
They were treated by a doctor, nurse and QAS before being taken to Warwick Hospital, and a rescue 500 helicopter will soon take them to a Brisbane-based hospital for further treatment.
A total of five people have been taken to Warwick Hospital following the crash.
Two middle aged men in one of the trucks which jackknifed near Sandy Creek Rd suffered minor injuries and were taken to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.
A man in his 30s driving the second truck was uninjured but has been taken to hospital for treatment for shock.
Fire crews are now dealing with a large diesel spill at the site.
The diesel spill is estimated to be between 800 and 1000 litres.
The highway remains closed.
3.10PM: Both the driver and passenger of a sedan involved in a serious crash with two B-doubles have been transported to Warwick Hospital.
The car and trucks collided on the Cunningham Hwy at 2.15pm.
The highway is closed in both directions, with traffic diverted via Sandy Creek Rd and Washpool Rd.

The driver of one of the trucks is uninjured.
At least one passenger from the car has been transported to Warwick Hospital.
The highway is closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

2.40PM: EMERGENCY services are rushing to the scene of a three-vehicle crash which has closed a major highway.
Two B-double trucks and a smaller sedan have reportedly collided on the Cunningham Hwy, about 2km west of Warwick at Allan.
The crash was reported about 2.15pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are en route to the crash.
Police have advised the Cunningham Hwy is closed at the crash scene, with motorists asked to avoid the area if possible.
Diversions are yet to be established.
