Dalby's little diva proves she's got the goods

Dalby's little diva Rosie Posie may have attitude but now she's proved she's got the goods to back it up.

The grey mare came home strong from behind to beat number nine, Relampago, and number 10, Writtenintherain, in the 1200m feature race at Bunya Park today.

Owner Michael Kelly previously said the home stretch was where Rosie would have to win.

"She doesn't go fast enough at the start to lead,” he said.

"She'll have to come home hard.”

Rosie did and her determination earned her a place at Eagle Farm on New Year's Eve where she will race for $100,000 in the Racing Queensland Summer Provincial Series Final.

Bookies set Rosie's odds at $6.50 today and Brisbane jockey Jason Taylor got her over the line.

Trained by Dalby's Matt Kropp, Rosie has garnered a reputation for her diva ways.

Kelly said the horse had a strong personality and that Kropp had to be congratulated for the way he trained her.

Rosie refuses to stay at Kropp's stables in Toowoomba and acts out until she's brought home to Dalby.

"She gets angry, won't eat and plays up until they bring her home,” Kelly said.
