Deadly snake slithers into office for 'work experience'

A DEADLY brown snake has been rounded up after slithering into an agribusiness.

Dave Wiedman from Toowoomba Snake Catchers 24/7 rounded up the snake, the second deadliest in the world, at an office at Norco's Anzac Ave business.

Mr Wiedman crawled on his hands and knees and attempted to extract the shy snake from behind a cabinet with a snake hook.

Quickly lunging down, he grabbed it by its tail with his bare hands.

"The brown snake had work experience today at Norco," he joked.

"The great staff at Norco didn't receive the email but they were well prepared with a quick call to me and a watchful eye he was given the rest of the day off."

Mr Wiedman said the snake had probably entered the building looking for food.

He said the snake may also have been trying to escape the heat of the day.

"It's not a nice thing to have in your office."
