Dingo driver caught on camera

A MOTORIST who risked weaving around a lowered boom gate at a level crossing in Dingo on Monday will be hearing from police after being captured on camera.

QR National’s Chief Safety, Health and Environment Officer Neil Backer said it was unbelievable that people were still risking their lives to save what may only be a matter of seconds.

“Not only is this person taking a grave risk but they should also be getting an infringement notice in the mail from the local police,” he said.

“QR National supplies all these photographs to Queensland police as part of our co-ordinated efforts to reduce accidents and the road toll.

“QR National continues to be staggered by the behaviour of motorists at level crossings and life-endangering risks posed to themselves and to train drivers.”
