Disney’s major Star Wars announcement
STAR Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will not be the war to end all "Wars".
Disney has announced after this final chapter in the latest trilogy is released on December 20, three more Star Wars films will hit theatres every other year, starting in 2022.

The studio did not make clear if those movies would be new episodes continuing the Luke Skywalker and Rey saga or A Star Wars Story offshoots such as Rogue One and Solo.

Audiences will also soon return to the planet Pandora - finally.
Disney announced the release dates of the four sequels to James Cameron's 2009 science fiction epic. The yet-untitled Avatar 2 will hit theatres the weekend before Christmas 2021, and the three follow-ups will be released every other year at that same time.

Cameron, a director who notoriously goes over schedule and over budget, has delayed his movie several times already. It was initially supposed to come out in 2014.
As Avengers: Endgame looks poised to topple Avatar as the all-time box office champion with a global haul of over $US2.2 billion, Disney neglected to reveal any titles of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
