PHOTOS: Gladstone business advantaged with 100K + followers

WITH an online audience of more than 100,000 followers, Divine Avenue have used their social media presence to their advantage.

Posting quality photos without spamming their followers has raised their online audiences on Facebook and Instagram.

In what many business owners have described as their toughest time yet in Gladstone, owner Amber Baumgart said business is going steady.

The store has 90,000 likes on Facebook and 44,000 on Instagram.

"The key is to make it visually interesting," Ms Baumgart said.

"You have to keep people engaged by posting different things." She posts four things every day, ranging from quirky photos and quotes to new stock.

"You want people to remember you're there, but at the same time not take over their whole feed," she said.

She said many of their customers will check their photos online before coming in to buy.
