CANADIAN country superstars Doc Walker return to Australia in late August as one of the international headline acts at the 2011 Optus Gympie Music Muster.

While they're here, they will also release a new album, 16 & 1.  The album will be launched at an exclusive launch party show in Sydney on the evening of Thursday August 25 just prior to their journey north for their only Australian public performance at the 2011 Optus Gympie Music Muster.

Doc Walker have netted  multiple #1, Top-10 and Top-5 hits on Canadian and Australian Radio and some of the Canadian Music industry’s highest awards, including six Canadian Country Music Awards in 2008 alone, as well as the 2009 Juno for Country Recording of the Year for their album.

Chris, Murray, Dave and their electric band will play songs from 16 & 1 to an Australian audience for the very first time, along with Doc Walker fan favourites and hits from their previous Australian releases Go and Beautiful Life.

16 & 1 features the hot new single Country Girl and follows the release of Go which spent multiple weeks in the ARIA Top 20 Country Charts and featured the hit singles If I Fall, I'm Gonna Make You Love Me and Coming Home.

Their debut album All Kinds Of Tough has earned the duo a CMC Music Award for ‘Best New Oz Artist’, as well as a Golden Guitar Award for ‘Best New Talent’.

The duo will preview some brand new songs for the very first time, as well as performing a bunch of hits including their #1 Australian Country singles Hell Yeah, All Kinds of Tough and Hard Work.
