THERE may be a crossover between Thor and Marvel's newest superhero Doctor Strange in the third Thor movie Ragnarok.

An image tweeted by one of the film's writers, Daley Pearson, from the film's Brisbane set yesterday hints at a cameo by Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

In the image, Thor star Chris Hemsworth is seen holding a business card with the address 177A Bleecker St, the New York address of the Doctor's Sanctum Sanctorum.

The clue fits in with the scenes being filmed in Brisbane this week, with Albert, Margaret and Mary Streets doubling as New York City.

It also makes sense that after Strange is introduced in his own movie, which hits cinemas on October 27, that he would cross over with other films in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

Characters from Guardians of the Galaxy, for instance, will appear in the next Avengers film, Avengers: Infinity War.
