Dress down to escape lifes duress
IT is not a fashion faux pa but wearing slippers to work this Friday can be your chance to ‘take a load off’.
Friday is Lifeline’s Stress Down Day to encourage Australians to recognise that sometimes we all need a break from stress of the rat race.
As part of the campaign, young and old are encouraged to donate to Lifeline and for that donation, wear their slippers to work or school, dress up or dress down or do something else to have fun while pro-actively managing stress.
All money raised will support Lifeline’s 24-hour telephone crisis support service, which provide emotional support to more than 1250 people every day.
Many of these calls are suicide-related and often lifesaving.
