Driver rescued from creek

A MAN had to be rescued from Panorama Creek, south of Rolleston, today after he drove though road closure signs and his vehicle began to sink in the water.

Springsure police said the man tried to turn around in the water, but was bogged.

They said he was lucky another driver came along to help to pull his vehicle out of the swollen creek.

Police said the man was trying to get back to Brisbane and had panicked.

He was issued with a fine for disobeying road closure signs.
