Drug arrest for Minister's daughter

THE daughter of a Queensland Government Minister has been reportedly arrested for drug possession.

Child Safety, Disability Services and Communities Minister Tracy Davis's daughter, Alex Davis, 20, worked for Arts Minister Ros Bates.

Channel 7 reported on Monday night that Alex was transported to hospital from the Executive Building and later arrested after drugs were found in her bag.

A Queensland Government spokeswoman confirmed on Monday night an incident occurred in the Executive Building on July 12.

The spokeswoman said a female staffer was taken to hospital and later resigned.

"As the matter is due to go before the court, no further comment will be made," she said
