Drunk pilot stood down
A PILOT, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when she got behind the controls of a Qantas plane at Sydney Airport last week, has been stood down from duty.
The female pilot was reportedly removed from a Brisbane-bound jet moments before take-off because crew members suspected she had been drinking.
On Monday, the airline confirmed in a statement that one of its pilots had been stood down due to "administrative reasons" and investigations were continuing.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has been notified.
