Dysart drowning victim named

THE identity of the woman who died after being trapped in floodwaters near Dysart has been released.

Kay Joy, 55, died after her car was swamped by rushing waters on Golden Mile Road on Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene but when they arrived, the four-wheel-drive was completely submerged.

Police divers and a specialised swift-water rescue team found the body of Ms Joy on Wednesday afternoon.
