Parramatta Eels coach struggles with Chris Sandow factor

PARRAMATTA coach Brad Arthur is stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place.

On the one hand the club is paying halfback Chris Sandow to turn in sub-par efforts when he clearly wants to be somewhere else, and on the other its salary cap issues means it can't afford to let him go to English club Warrington and still have to cover some of his contract.

Arthur said the Eels were happy to let Sandow leave, but "not if we have to continue to pay him".

Meanwhile, Sandow's halves partner Corey Norman is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks after re-injuring his knee in Friday night's 28-4 loss to the Bulldogs.
