Conor McGregor has been one of the most recognisable sports stars in the world for the past decade.

And when you've got a reported net worth of $184 million, you're bound to have some pretty amazing properties to your name.

While many may think he could rest and recuperate with all those earnings from MMA and boxing, he is still raking it in with his own whisky and fashion businesses.

With all that money piling up, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion has been able to build an extensive property portfolio dotted around the world.

IRELAND

Hailing from the Emerald Isle, McGregor was always bound to follow his heart and buy a lush Irish home.

He splashed £2 million ($A3.66 million) on a stunning mansion in 2019 that used to belong to a son of former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds.

And McGregor will never miss a training session thanks to his own personal gym, full of state-of-the-art equipment to keep in shape with.

THE HOLIDAY HOME

Of course, living in Ireland doesn't promise you good weather all-year round.

That's why McGregor decided to nab a $A2.39 million for a luxury holiday home in Spain in 2018.

The house is the perfect spot to whisk his partner Dee Devlin off to when they want to chill out in the sun.

Located in Marbella, the McGregor's luxury home in The Heights development boasts breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, and is on the door step of the La Resina Golf Course.

The 31-year old has his own customised gym, a home spa and large outdoor swimming pool - which is directly accessible from his bedroom.

A massive dining area overlooks the ocean and he can also gaze out onto the coast while relaxing in his hot tub.

VIVA LAS VEGAS

With most of his fights happening in Nevada, it made sense for McGregor to have a house in Sin City.

Nicknamed the Mac Mansion, the home was unveiled in 2015 by McGregor before he took on Jose Aldo.

The 1115 sqm home, which is 15 minutes' drive from the Vegas Strip, has seven bedrooms, a 15m infinity pool, spa that can accommodate 10 people, as well as a back garden golf course.

Every bedroom has its own ensuite, while the master bedroom features a marble jacuzzi.

As for the garage, there's room for 10 of Conor's cherished cars, but he'll struggle to get his boat in there.

The property also has seven plush bedrooms.

However, McGregor never made the move permanent, only renting the property - before it went on sale in 2017 for around $A4.2 million.

Whenever he was fighting in Las Vegas recently, he prefers to be put up in a penthouse suite at one of the city's famous hotels.

The home went on sale in 2017 for around $4.23 million.

The MMA legend leaves the sport with a record of 22 wins and four losses.

McGregor let fans know of his retirement in an emotional goodbye message on his Twitter account last week, where he vowed his next property purchase will be for his mother.

The Vegas property was nicknamed Ville de Soleil.
