Ex-NRL star celebrates miracle son's first birthday
THERE was no better place to celebrate their son's first birthday than the home of Valleys Roosters.
Toowoomba couple Brett and Roseanne Seymour celebrated their son Brave's first birthday with family and friends on Saturday.
The two relocated to the Garden City after spending several years abroad, as Mr Seymour, a former NRL player with more than 100 professional games under his belt, took a job as a player-coach for Valleys.
Mrs Seymour said Brave's first birthday was a special one for the family as she and her husband had struggled to start a family.
"We had a lot of fertility problems and it was challenging and heartbreaking," she said.
"When we finally got him, it was just amazing."
Mrs Seymour said they named him Brave because of the journey they went through to have him.
"I had to be brave," she said.
The couple have an older daughter, Munroe, 4, and are expecting another child in a few months.
