TODAY C&K Kindergarten Blackwater is mounting a certificate recognising it has exceeded the national quality framework standards in six out of the seven categories after its most recent assessment in October.

The recognition comes days after the Kindergarten was listed by its lower standard assessment results in data released by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority.

Director of C&K Blackwater Kindergarten, Jade Hare said that the staff have worked above and beyond to ensure the certificate of recognition.

"We are actually above the national requirement,” she said.

"It's a great outcome for a small community, it shows that children in Blackwater have access to a kindergarten that is above national standard. It's important to families to know the quality of care their children will receive.”

The only category the kindergarten wasn't awarded with "exceeding” requirements is staffing arrangements for which it was deemed as "meeting the guidelines”.

"We are still meeting the national standard, it's unfortunately just the nature of being in a rural location,” Mrs Hare said.
