Experience the sounds of Eric Bibb
GUITAR and Bass Magazine says Eric Bibb's "breezy, poetic blues makes for an intimate show".
"His smooth laid-back style is enhanced with some neat guitar licks from Staffan Astner."
Downbeat Magazine wrote that Bibb "possesses a warmly expressive voice and a fine sense of phrasing".
"He shines, too, as a guitarist with a quiet and confident approach."
Clive Davis from London's The Times wrote his "performance at the three-day London Guitar Festival at Queen Elizabeth Hall, was rich in soulful intensity".
Bibb visits the Currumbin RSL's Sound Lounge on March 2.
His performances are known as enriching experiences, both musically and spiritually.
"Eric's singing and versatile guitar playing fuses a variety of genres to become a New World Blues," another critic wrote.
He exudes a beautifully realised and deftly accomplished, soulful and gospel infused folk-blues.
Bibb effortlessly melds traditional American-style roots with a subtle contemporary sensibility.
His Australian tour also visiting Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania will be joined by accomplished Swedish guitarist Staffan Astner.
Bibb's poet's sensibility has been experienced across the world, where he has paid his dues and absorbed many musical influences.
He has also picked up countless awards, nominations and mesmerised audiences along the way.
"Eric is one of the new, young singers that has appeared on the scene," wrote Taj Mahal.
"That, much to my delight, has a great voice, is an excellent performer and has a great knowledge about the roots of this music."
Bibb's new CD Deeper in the Well will be released in Australia in March.
