EMERALD'S Fairbairn Dam is at full capacity after overflowing at 7.30am today.

SunWater said significant in-flows had raised the dam level to 100% and water was being discharged over the spillway at a rate of about 26 megalitres per day.

It said inflow monitoring data indicated the spillway discharge would remain steady over the next few days and was well within the dam's design parameters.
