IT is all happening in Blackwater this weekend, with three full days of May Day festivities officially starting tomorrow when the gates to the Blackwater CFMEU May Day Rodeo open at 11am.
Bring a chair and a blanket and party late into the night to the sounds of DJ Jemal. There will be a canteen and a licensed bar until midnight.
A courtesy bus will be available after the rodeo for a gold coin donation.
Sunday fair activities start nice and early with the car show from 9am to 9pm.
There will be free dodgem cars, super slide, swinging chairs, rollercoaster and jumping castle, plenty of stalls and raffles.
The iconic Fred Brophy Boxing Tent with Blackwater’s own James Ellis topping the fighter’s card will be in town.
Sunday night will be filled with live entertainment and fireworks and the bar will be open 10am to midnight.
Monday’s May Day march will depart from Littlefield St at 9am.
A decorated bikes parade, Blackwater Idol, merry-go-round and tug-o-war will fill the rest of the day. The bar will operate from 10am to 5pm.
