Wife says it's out of character for husband to go missing

THE wife of a man who went missing in Point Vernon last week has spoken out about his disappearance.

Kaye Edwards said it was completely out of character for her husband, Hugh, not to contact his family.

Last Friday night he told Kaye's aunt, Cathy Ziebell, that he was going for a walk while Kaye was at the beach.

He hasn't been seen since.

The family contacted police on Saturday after he failed to return that night.

Kaye said he only has his wallet with him.

The family has taken to social media in the hopes someone will contact the police in relation to Hugh's disappearance.

"People don't just go for walks and not come back," Kaye said.
