Fighter takes swing at Olympic boxing body
IRISH bantamweight Michael Conlan has laid into Olympic boxing body AIBA, labelling it "corrupt" after controversially losing his quarter-final on points to Russia's Vladimir Nikitin in a unanimous decision.
Vowing never to fight again in any AIBA-organised comp<HH>etition, Conlan said: "AIBA are f***ing cheats ... they've robbed me of my Olympic dream.
"Obviously Russia can't dope this time so they are obviously paying the judges a lot more."
Conlan's defeat came the day after Russian heavyweight Evgeny Tishchenko was controversially judged the winner of his gold medal bout with Kazakhstan's Vassiliy Levit.
