Fire engulfs car after rollover

NO ONE was injured in a vehicle that rolled and caught alight early Sunday night.

At 5.45pm Emerald police received a call from the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service concerning the rollover on Harts Rd.

Police attended the scene to find a blue Holden Commodore on its side, engulfed in flames.

The QFRS extinguished the fire and witnesses advised that the driver and passengers were sitting on the side of the road.

The Korean driver, a farm employee from 2PH, was suspected of drink driving.

Police obtained a blood sample and are awaiting the results.

The driver and four passengers were taken to the Emerald Hospital with three admitted for further examination.
