Flooding disrupts Broncos tour

FLOODING in central Queensland has forced the NRMA Insurance Brisbane Broncos to reroute their Australia Post Broncos Community Tour.

After visiting Moura yesterday the group was forced to cancel their visit to Springsure and Gindie State Schools and Emerald Post Office today.

On the back of advice from local police, they instead travelled back to Rockhampton last night and will now be unable to attend Tieri State School tomorrow morning.

The group will continue the tour tomorrow by travelling into Moranbah via the Bruce Highway and Mackay.

The Australia Post Broncos Community Tour began on Saturday in Rockhampton and Gladstone with NRL players Andrew McCullough and Peter Wallace in attendance.

The pair left the tour Sunday night to return to training but Broncos development officers and former internationals Michael Hancock and Michael De Vere are still with the group.
