QUEENSLAND'S most famous amber fluid will now taste even better, according to State of Origin captain Darren Lockyer.

Fourex today paid tribute to the Maroons' fifth consecutive Origin series win launching a limited edition XXXXX can.

It is the first time the iconic logo has been altered in the brewer's history.

XXXXX Bitter will be sold across Queensland from today, with 80,000 cartons available.

Fourex has maintained the tradition of using Xs to indicate the strength of an ale, with the addition of a fifth X a fitting tribute to the Maroons' dominance over NSW.
