French kisses at Cup revelry

CAPELLA Golf Club was the Flemington of the Central Highlands on Tuesday.

Fabulously dressed ladies and gents feasted on an array of cold cuts, salads and desserts before placing their bets on the 51st Melbourne Cup race which was won by French raider Dunaden.

Over at the CHRC offices, staffers dressed in their race day best for some office festivities.

Cup eve celebrations

THE CWA Capella branch pre-Melbourne Cup soiree on Monday night was an elegant and lively affair.

As always, those CWA gals know how to sugar-coat things, with an array of fabulous sweets on offer.

There were homemade cakes, biscuits and even trifle on offer, all washed down with tea, coffee and some non-alcoholic punch.

The highlight was a fashion parade featuring some beautiful designer creations stocked by Clermont's Ornabellas Clothing and Accessories.

They were modelled to catwalk perfection by local ladies.

The winner of the lucky door prize was Betty Storey, who took home a beautiful fascinator.
