A THREE-year-old girl found at the bottom of a pool in Hervey Bay has been flown to hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition.

Ambulances were called to a gated housing complex in Pialba just after 7pm on Sunday when the child was found at the bottom of a pool.

According to neighbours, CPR was performed on the girl.

The child was taken by ambulance to Hervey Bay Hospital but was later transferred by helicopter to Lady Cilento Hospital in Brisbane about 11pm.

The latest incident follows the death of a two-year-old girl after she was pulled unconscious from a dam at Sunshine Acres on January 11.
