HUMAN remains have today been found at the horrific scene of a truck accident near Rockhampton yesterday.

The Bruce Highway smash involving an army semi-trailer and B-double truck was, until today, thought not to have been fatal.
Two military personnel were taken to Rockhampton Hospital along with a 40-year-old man who may have been thrown from the B-double during the accident at the intersection with Upper Ulam Road in Bajool at 2.45pm on Wednesday.

Police this afternoon confirmed that human remains had been discovered at the scene.

A spokesman from the Department of Defence confirmed that only two soldiers - who have been accounted for - were travelling in the army vehicle.
