AUSTRALIAN Sports Nutrition is helping Toowoomba residents reach their health and fitness goals in a supportive community environment.

The ASN 10-Week Body Transformation Challenge is due to hit Toowoomba on Monday, February 9.

ASN's goal is to build the biggest fitness community in Toowoomba.

ASN Toowoomba manager Luke Noble said the challenge would be a lifestyle change for most people.

"This is the first time Toowoomba has done something like this," Mr Noble said.

"What we want to achieve is to build the largest fitness community in Toowoomba where everyone can support one another.

"We will be meeting in Queen's Park where we will train together and people can meet others who have the same goal, in a supportive environment.

"We hope to continue the build the fitness community after the challenge is over.

"There are people who aren't confident in going to a gym so this is a good opportunity to give them the confidence they need. Our goal over the 10-week period is to change the participant's lifestyles," he said.

Competitor Mick Elwell said he wanted to better himself over the 10-week period. "My main goal is to become healthier and have a better sense of wellbeing."

An information night is being held on February 4 from 6.30pm at 417 Ruthven Street.
