Gunners out to shoot down premiers

FOOTBALL: Arsene Wenger says facing Leicester City tonight will be no different to last season.

The Gunners won both games against the English Premier League champion last season but Wenger said he knew what to expect at King Power Stadium.

"The challenge will be exactly the same," he said.

"They have the exactly the same qualities they had last year and they are team who are very quick on the break and defend well as a unit."

Leicester lost its opening game last week to Hull City but Arsenal also went down 4-3 to Liverpool at home.

The Gunners were criticised after the defeat and Wenger said there was plenty to work on.

"We have to address our defensive weaknesses from last week without compromising our style of play," he said.

"We need to continue being very dangerous going forward and accept the way we play."

Wenger said he saw no reason why Leicester could not have another good season but added it was not a priority for him as he enters his last year of his contract at the club.

"Why not? At the moment I am not concerned about that too much, I am more focused on us responding well to Sunday's defeat," he said.

"Despite the game on Sunday, there are many positive aspects in our game that we want to keep for our next game."

In other games this weekend, Stoke entertains Manchester City, Burnley hosts Liverpool and Swansea takes on Hull City.

Crystal Palace, with new signing Christian Benteke in its ranks, will play at Spurs, while Chelsea travels to Watford and West Brom hosts Everton.

Manchester United played Southampton at Old Trafford overnight.
