IT WAS like any other Halloween party I'd ever been to - until it wasn't.
Let me paint the picture: Saturday afternoon and the sun was still high in the sky.
The invitation promised "Trick Or Treating" and asked everyone (young and small) to dress "spooky".
I'm a stickler for dress code and insisted that all my clan get into the spirit and Ghoul Up.
So a black cat, the Wicked Witch, Frankenstein and a very frightening fairy arrived at the party ready to carve some pumpkins and eat too much sugar. The decorations were over-the-top scary....
