Handgun fired outside apartment block

A MAN has allegedly fired a handgun in Southport this morning.

The gun was fired into the air outside an apartment complex around 3am this morning.

Nobody was physically injured.

Police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old calamvale man with unlawful possession of a weapon, discharge weapon in a public place and going armed so as to cause fear. 

The man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
