Harold setback takes gloss off Glory recovery

JOE CASTROAAP

PERTH Glory's amazing comeback to snatch a 3-all draw against the Melbourne Victory has been soured by a serious ankle injury to Chris Harold.

Goals to Rostyn Griffiths and Jamie Maclaren in the 79th and 89th minutes completed the comeback, after the Victory had led 3-1 thanks to goals from Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Besart Berisha and Kosta Barbarouses.

Harold (pictured) was helped off the pitch in the first half, with coach Kenny Lowe fearing the winger could be out for an extended period.

Exciting youngster Danny De Silva is expected to be fit for the Glory's next game against Sydney FC in Perth next Saturday, after falling ill during the warm-up.

The match at nib Stadium set an A-League record. The 12,271 in attendance saw the competition post its quickest ever season's aggregate of one million fans (in 71 games), surpassing the previous record by one match.
