Harvey looking for big finish before finals
HAVING got his record-breaking 427th match out of the way, Brent Harvey is looking to games 428, 429, 430 and 431 with North.
Harvey (pictured) said the focus was now on the eighth-placed Kangaroos finishing the home-and-away rounds in the best possible way.
They take on the Bulldogs this Friday, followed by Hawthorn, Sydney and GWS.
"We had a fairly soft draw earlier in the year but we've got a tough draw lately. Our last four games are against top-eight teams so we need to put our best foot forward to win those games,” Harvey said yesterday.
The Roos put a 12-point buffer on ninth-placed Port Adelaide with their win over St Kilda, the 38-year-old celebrating in style.
"(We had a) little bit of a late night last night. We hung around in the rooms for a long period of time,” he said. "I'm a little bit tired now to tell you the truth. But, to be honest, it was good.”
The Kangaroos maintained their perfect record in Harvey milestone games, from his 50th to his 400th, and including his 312th, when he overtook Glenn Archer's club record.
