Head along for close Shave

COME and have a haircut or colour for a good cause on Friday, March 18.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave is on again and Emerald organiser Michelle Stroud is looking for more volunteers to step up to the plate.

“We have two shaving their heads and would like to get more,” Michelle said.

“If people join as part of our team they can do their own fundraising and we provide the event. We have four hairdressers lined up to do it and have got heaps of hairspray for those who want to colour their hair.

“We are looking for more people, no requirements, just people who are willing to lose it for a worthwhile cause.”

Emerald’s World’s Greatest Shave event is being held at Emerald Town Hall, starting from 7.30pm.

There is entertainment planned with Emerald State High School band and Marist jazz band set to entertain the crowds.

There will also be plenty of stalls with Avon, Bright Bugs, Tupperware, Learning Ladder and Mary Kay cosmetics and there is still space for more.

The bar will be open and a sausage sizzle for those with the hungry bellies.

If you would like to participate or want more information, see Michelle at the Emerald Library.
