AUSTRALIA recorded its first win of the women's hockey program with a 3-1 upset of Germany at the Riverbank Arena.

The Hockeyroos suffered a 1-0 loss to New Zealand in their opening Group B match on Sunday, but bounced with a convincing victory over the world number three.
